General comment on data set | Average data based on standard production process. Fibre material originated from pulp was imported from a few countries i.e New Zealand, Chile. Cement was locally supplied, normally within the vicinity of the production plant. Similarly with other input materials such as sand were sourced domestically. Inventory is based on primary industry data. |

Technology description including background system | Fibre cement panel is wood based composite. The pulp fibres are mixed cement and sand in a mixing tank. The composite mixture is formed into continuos and consistent sheet within specific thickness. Afterwards, the sheet is cut into designated dimension. The panel is autoclaved for ultimate dryness before packing. |

Modelling constants | All data used in the calculation of the LCI results refer to specific mass value. For the transport of raw materials and ancillaries, the average transport processes with specific parameters settings e.g transport distances and route (ship, pipeline, rail, road) are used. |
Deviation from modelling constants / explanations | None |

Data sources, treatment and representativeness | |
Data cut-off and completeness principles | Data coverage of at least 95% of mass based on the input and output flows |
Deviation from data cut-off and completeness principles / explanations | None |
Data selection and combination principles | Data sources for the complete product system are sufficiently consistent. |
Deviation from data selection and combination principles / explanations | None |
Data treatment and extrapolations principles | Malaysian conditions for power and thermal energy supply were used based on statistics and technology specific data to represent the specific country conditions. Consumption data (energy and materials) of the production mixes are based on technology specific documents representing a global average or European conditions. For the production of intermediates the same principles were applied. |
Deviation from data treatment and extrapolations principles / explanations | None |

Access and use restrictions | Access to datasets is permitted upon approval by the authorised administrator of the Malaysian Life Cycle Inventory Database. The standard route to the datasets is via online enquiry and deliver of hardcopies of the datasets through normal mail. When special access is granted, the dataset can be used by the user to perform LCA studies, to convert into other formats, to develop own datasets etc., as long as the copyright and license conditions for the datsets of the MYLCID are met. Please note e.g that reference must be given to the "Owner of dataset" and to the "Malaysian Life Cycle Inventory Database" plus version number, when using the dataset or parts thereof. Please note also, that any modifications/omissions of the dataset results in invalidity of any existing'official approval of datset by producer/operator', that the impression must be avoided that this would still be a complete dataset of the MYLCID, and that the content of further fields has to be adjusted. |
