The data set represents a cradle to gate inventory for secondary aluminium. It does not represent the typical consumer mix of aluminum ingots in Malaysia due to fact that also primary aluminum is imported. Considering the used technologies in this data set the environmental profile is applicable but with the background of the consumer market and to achieve decisions it should be treated with care because the imported primary aluminum would have a much higher environmental impact and might change the decision process.
